About this field
Injection cosmetology covers procedures in which a product is injected into or under the skin with a fine needle. Some relax the facial expression muscles, others restore volume, and others hydrate the skin and improve its quality. At Medest, this area is led by cosmetic dermatologists.
What it includes
- Botulinum Therapy — softens expression lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows and around the eyes; helps with excessive sweating;
- Facial Contouring with Fillers — restores volume in the lips, cheekbones, chin and under-eye area;
- Biorevitalization — hydrates the skin and restores its firmness with hyaluronic acid;
- Mesotherapy — cocktails of active ingredients for the face, body and scalp;
- Lipolytics — correction of small localized fat deposits on the face and body;
- Plasmatherapy (PRP) — injections of plasma from the patient's own blood for skin and hair.
Your first visit
The first visit begins with a consultation. The doctor asks about your concern, your health, medications and previous procedures, examines your skin and assesses your facial features. It often turns out that different methods suit the same concern — for example, expression lines are better softened with botulinum therapy, while folds caused by volume loss are better addressed with a filler. The doctor explains which option suits you and, if needed, suggests a combination of procedures.
At the consultation, it is important to mention pregnancy or breastfeeding, chronic conditions, allergies and any medications you take — especially blood thinners. If you have had injectable procedures at another clinic, try to recall the product names and dates: this helps the doctor plan the next step.
If there are no contraindications, many procedures can be performed on the same day. The doctor will tell you the number of sessions, the intervals and the cost after the examination.

Questions & answers
I am not sure which procedure I need. Where should I start?
With a consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist. The doctor will examine your skin, listen to what concerns you and suggest a suitable method or combination of procedures.
Can several injectable procedures be combined?
Yes, procedures often complement each other — for example, botulinum therapy and fillers, or biorevitalization and plasmatherapy. The doctor determines the order and intervals individually.
Are the injections painful?
Fine needles are used, and if needed the skin is numbed with a cream; many fillers contain an anesthetic. The sensations are usually tolerable, and sensitivity depends on the area.
Is there any downtime?
As a rule, you can return to your usual activities right away. Redness, slight swelling or bruising at the injection sites usually resolves within a few days, so it is best not to schedule procedures right before important events.
How much do the procedures cost?
Current prices are listed in the table on each procedure's page. The doctor will give you an exact plan and cost after the examination.
