Combating fungal nail diseases (onychomycosis) with photodynamic RACT therapy gives a stable positive result and allows you to get rid of the disease and prevent its recurrence in the future. The technique was developed in Germany. The PACT emitter destroys the cell membranes of fungi, stopping their further reproduction. The podiatrist conducts a course of treatment for onychomycosis using photodynamic therapy. The method does not have a systemic effect on the human body.
Features of the procedure
Treatment of fungal diseases requires an integrated approach. First, the podiatrist makes an accurate diagnosis.
The specialist can perform preliminary softening of the nail plate with urea-based products. They begin to be used a few days before RACT therapy. In advanced cases of onychomycosis, PACT therapy is carried out monthly for a year.
At each visit, the podiatrist removes the tissue affected by the fungus and performs a single treatment with the RACT emitter.
A healthy nail with total damage will grow back on average within 6-12 months.
The procedure is performed by a certified specialist, podiatrist Diana Nelipovich on the only PACT-Med device in Armenia.
